Dan Barnett is acknowledged as one of Australia’s most accomplished and professional performers. His powerful voice and swinging trombone, form the backbone of the Dan Barnett Big Band.

Having studied under some of the leading musicians in Australia and the USA, Dan Barnett went on to guest star with a wide cross section of performers – ranging from Dragon, The Whitlams and Jimmy Barnes - to The Gotham City Horns, James Morrison and Tommy Emmanuel. He has also delighted theatre audiences with his featured roles in the Australian productions of “Buddy” (the Buddy Holly story); and “Testimony – The Legend of Charlie Parker”.

Dan’s qualities were best described by Kevin Jones, respected music writer for The Australian newspaper and Fine Music magazine: “Dan Barnett is a natural bandleader with the personality and charisma to charm the most demanding of audiences. Just wanted to give you some feedback following our wedding in Wollongong on the 7th February 2009.   We had the Dan Barnett band play at our Reception. They were fantastic! We have had so many people tell us that the music & the band were the best part of the night...

The choice of music was fantastic; it was unobtrusive while we were eating our mains, and pumped out when we wanted it. After our fireworks show, the dance floor was packed and everyone sang along to the very end. Our guests were extremely impressed and have been talking about them every since. We also know that a few guests will be in contact to book for their own events. I didn't get a chance to thank Dan at the end but my husband did. Could you please pass on our sincere thanks to the guys, they certainly did a terrific job and we were so happy.
